Used (setFSB) to try overclocking PC without experience, now desktop wont boot up. After i used this program to try and overclock my desktop, it froze so i had to hard boot it. When computer trird to turn on again all that i heard was the fan and then it kept on shutting off ad on by it self. The harddrive and CD-Rom open and close but i get no BIOS or anything. I attempted to reset BIOS by the jumper but it did nothing. I took RAM sticks out and left one. I took off graphic card and nothing.
Gateway Esx 500s Motherboard Manual
The pnly thing that computer does as it turns on is cranks the fans at high spped for about 5 seconds and then turns off and repeats the process over and over.I have a Gateway GT5628Intel core 2 quad Q6600mobo: DG333SXG2 or something like that. Looks like you still have the program changing the settings disconnect your hard drive, reset bios and try booting again.I will try this when i get home today and give an update. Should i leave the HDD disconnected when i boot up again?? ThanksUnfortuanetly this didnt help. All that turns on are the fans at high rep, I feel the harddive working and the peripherals have power but the computer just keeps on restarting itself before there is even a bios screen and the power light doesnt come on anymore.
My sons hard drive went out in his computer and I put a new harddrive in and am having trouble locating the drivers, my ex bought it used and didnt get cds with it. On the back it says Gateway mfatxpnt esx 500 s and on the motherboard it says in.
